Fuellytics app — J7Software

Last updated: August 12, 2026

Introduction

This policy describes how the mobile app Fuellytics (package com.j7software.fuellytics), developed by J7Software ("we", "us"), handles user data. The app is available on Google Play and is designed for tracking fuel/charging fill-ups and vehicle running costs.

In short

No account required   Data stays on your device   We never sell data

Fuellytics does not require sign-up or login. All data about your vehicles and fill-ups/charging sessions is stored exclusively on your device and is never automatically uploaded anywhere. The only data that leaves your device relates to ads, in-app purchases, and basic app diagnostics — and that's handled by Google, not by us (details below).

What data the app stores

The following data is entered by you and stored only locally (Room database and DataStore) on your device:

DataPurpose
Vehicle name, license plate, and fuel typeDisplaying and distinguishing vehicles in the garage
Odometer reading, fuel/energy amount, price, dateCalculating consumption and costs
Unit, currency, theme, and language preferencesPersonalizing how the app looks and behaves

This data never leaves your device unless you choose to export it yourself (the "Export history to CSV" feature) and manually share it via email, cloud storage, or another app of your choosing.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app displays a banner ad provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may process device identifiers and other data, as described in Google's Privacy Policy, in order to serve and measure ads.

In the European Economic Area, the UK, and applicable US states (in accordance with state privacy laws such as the CCPA/CPRA), a consent dialog is shown on first launch via the Google User Messaging Platform. Ads are not loaded until consent is given. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time in the app's Settings, under "Privacy & consent."

Diagnostics and analytics (Firebase)

The app uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect diagnostic data about app crashes, such as device information and crash stack traces. This collection happens automatically and is not tied to your ad consent choice, since it is technical diagnostics needed to find and fix bugs, not user tracking.

The app also uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized data about how the app is used, but only after you give consent in the GDPR/US privacy dialog described above. You can withdraw this consent at any time in the app's Settings, under "Privacy & consent."

This data is processed by Google (Firebase), under Google's Privacy Policy.

In-app purchases

The app offers a one-time "Remove ads" purchase, processed exclusively through Google Play Billing. Payment details (such as card numbers) never pass through our app or our servers — they are handled entirely by Google under its own Privacy Policy. We only receive confirmation that a purchase was made, so we can permanently hide ads for you.

App permissions

The app may request the following standard Android permission:

The app does not access your location, contacts, photos, or other sensitive device data.

Sharing data with third parties

Other than the data described above (AdMob, Google Play Billing, Firebase Crashlytics/Analytics), the app does not share any user data with third parties. We do not sell or rent user data to anyone.

Data retention and deletion

Data remains on your device until you uninstall the app or manually delete individual vehicles or records within the app. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all locally stored data.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children in this age group.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when new features are added. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
